OFP extends a big “thank you” to everyone who joined in this years “Hugs From Home” project. With the generous help of clients, vendors, work associates, friends and family, OFP was able to send 3000 “Hugs from Home” to show support to the troops fighting overseas. A “Hug from Home” is a gift tube personalized by the participant designed to say “thank you” and to let our military know they are loved and supported during their deployment. Through the month of February, OFP distributed clear plastic tubes with an invitation to join them in sending “a hug” overseas. The result was an outpouring of support that eclipsed last years project. The compact care packages contained everything from the necessary (toothbrushes, bug spray, deodorant) to the fun (magazines, cigars, puzzles).
